And I'm not damning with faint praise. With the 30-110mm lens, I had nearly 300mm of reach and lightning fast AF in the palm of my hands. I actually chuckled to myself as another adult showed up with his iconic white Canon L zoom, thinking to myself, "I've probably got more reach and faster AF and more FPS, yet I won't be clogging up my hard drive with 300 megapickel files." After all, neither of us was shooting for Sports Illustrated.
Later, I put the photos on the iPad and showed them to my nephew - he's the one they are all chasing in the photo. "You take good pictures" he says to me. Made my day.
