We've got a couple of sunflowers plants in the backyard on the verge of blooming. It's interesting to see how each plant has responded to its immediate environment. This one is getting the most sun and is thus the tallest by quite a margin. I'd say it's close to 7 feet and still growing. The others get less sun due to nearby shrubs and the afternoon shade of the house, and thus are much smaller. Still, 4 feet is not something to sneeze at.
I thought about setting up a time lapse of this one. I just need to find a suitable perch...
Taken with the Panasonic GH2 paired with the 100-300 zoom. A potent combo.
