For what it's worth, I have fallen in love...with the square. I've been playing around with square photos with the Pentax Q and K-01 and even with Instagram, and after this last set of the American Photo Model Shoot, I'm seriously loving the challenges and results of the square. I think that I have found my proportion, and all my future camera purchases will include considerations for square format shooting.
In one fell swoop, that decision more or less eliminates all contemporary OVF dSLRs, unless there are some that will provide a square focusing screen. What I'd really like is a new camera and a new mount - a mirrorless square format with a big fat lovely sensor. I'd also like mechanical Manual Focus with focus peaking, please.
